On August 16-18, the regiment handed over 9 horses at Zaslavsky St. and 13 horses to the 7th RCP (which arose on the basis of an order from the Department of the Ministry of Military Affairs of Poland dated July 21, 1939, according to which some of the horses from the reserve squadrons of the Volyn Cavalry Brigade were transferred to other cavalry regiments). Due to the allocation by the repair commission in Lutsk of 11 W-1 type repair horses to the reserve squadron of the 21st platoon, the regiment returned them to their owners. The regiment's readiness for the campaign was achieved in accordance with the plan on August 16.
On August 17, units of the 21st Uhlan Regiment were ordered to move to the Zdolbunov railway station (about 14 km from Rublyovo) and load it onto railway transport. The first squad with a platoon of heavy machine guns left on the evening of August 17. The loading of the regiment was completed on the night of August 17-18. The Radomsko regiment was added to the transports passing through Lviv - Krakow on August 19 (Major Stanislav Starzhetsky reports in his report that the regiment arrived in Radomsko on August 18 and 19).
After unloading, the regiment went to the area of Brzezinica Nova, the location of the Volyn cavalry brigade, from where it was sent to the area of deployment in Jedlno and Jankowice. The 4th Squadron was stationed about 3 km further in Zakrzowek-Szlachecki. Also on August 18, the command of the Volyn Cavalry brigade, along with the headquarters squadron and the remaining regiments of the brigade, went to the station in Radomsko. The brigade command, together with the headquarters squadron, headed for Brzezinica Nova, to the place of its stop. The 12th Podolsk Uhlan Regiment arrived at the brigade's stop on August 25. No later than the 11th Infantry Battalion arrived at the concentration site.
The general of the regiment said: Live with the dignity of a righteous Polish citizen and die for her, as required by your military honor. Then the blue ribbon of the Order of Virtuti Militari will glorify our regimental banner and reward you.(It is worth mentioning here that Lieutenant Colonel Kazimierz de Roy Suski served in the regiment from 10/10/1936, and from 1937 he was the deputy commander of the regiment for training).
The regiment's inactivity was used for exercises and the preparation of fortifications on the Warta line. As the regimental commander recalls, at that time intensive training of reserve officers and enlisted men was conducted, as well as coordination of units. In parallel, work was underway to prepare the Varta River at the established defense site. Trenches and machine-gun nests were dug at the designated points, and the foreground in the regiment's area of operations was cleared. Unfortunately, due to the insufficient amount of necessary equipment, the work progressed very slowly. Local residents, especially scouts and young people, also joined the work. https://vd-tv.ru/content/stavki-ks-go-kak-uvelichit-svoi-shansy-na-pobedu
